There isn’t a whole lot here about me because bone marrow donations between unrelated persons are anonymous—at least until donor and recipient are allowed to exchange personal information, if they wish, a year after the donation. For now I’ll say that I’m female, American, urban, happen to live practically walking distance from the hospital where I donated, and have been thoroughly overwhelmed by this whole turn of events.
